He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. Leister and Edna Naomi Leister (Emerick); his wife A. Marie Leister (Shaffer); his son Thomas Leister; his son-in-law Robert Harclerode; his granddaughter Suzanne Harclerode; his siblings, Jacob, Fred, Ernest Leister, Marybell Kline, Helen Tomlinson, Hazel Tomlinson and Dottie Leister; and his siblings-in-law, Regina McGregor, Mabel Baker and Frederick Paul Shaffer.
He is survived by: his children, Paul Leister (Dawn Elaine), Connie Harclerode, Daniel Leister, John Leister (Sherry), Jenny Wagoner of Everett, Mary Baker (Les) of Bedford and Laura Hyde (David) of Bedford; his siblings, Ralph Leister of Glencoe, Roy Leister of Dover, AR, Stanley Leister of Glencoe, Delores Kline of Waynesboro, Kay Diehl of Bedford and Thelma Hillegass of Schellsburg; and his brother-in-law Edgar Shaffer of Hyndman. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
