He was predeceased by: his parents, John Victor and Elizabeth Leona Gorney Bastecki; and his brother Leonard Bastecki. He is survived by: his wife Agnes M. Fenoglietto Bastecki; his children, Vincent Bastecki (Sherry) of Franklin, Dr. Anthony Bastecki (Georgann) of Lexington, Dr. Allen Bastecki (Dawn) of Lexington and Dr. Victoria Perez (Santos) of Perkiomenville; his grandchildren, Dr. Alexander Bastecki, Elizabeth Rupp (Adam), Martin Bastecki, Shane McMullen (Val), Victor Blake Bastecki and Regan Perez; his great grandchildren, Luke Henry Rupp and Ryan Lee Rupp; his siblings, Patricia Dobrowolski (Richard) of Apollo and Daniel John Bastecki (Marianne) of Simi Valley, Calif.; and his sister-in-law Dessie Bastecki of New Kensington.
