He is survived by: his spouse Thelma Simmons (Reitnauer); his parent Mary Simmons (Genszler); his son Timothy Simmons (Bonnie) of Douglassville; his grandchildren, Adrienne Stumhofer (Matthew) of Reading, Matthew Simmons (Tina) of Woodbridge, VA and Brett Simmons of Monroeville; his great grandchildren, Lucas Stumhofer and Aubrey Stumhofer; and his sisters, Anna Stoudt (Leroy), Dorothy Gehman and James.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in John's memory to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 1809 Hoffmansville Rd., Sassamansville, PA 19472.
