He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. Sayers and Mary Ann Hoey Sayers; and his brothers, William H Sayers and Donald L. Sayers. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Gadwell Sayers; his sisters, Janet L. Peluso of Beaver Falls and Madlyn L. Burdine of Beaver Falls; his siblings-in-law, James, Carolyn Gadwell, Sharon and Robert Franssen; his great-niece Ashley; and his great-nephew J. D.. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be made in Richard's name to the American Legion Post 19, 415 13th Street, New Brighton, PA 15066.
