He was predeceased by: his parents, William G. Bartle Sr. and Iona V. Bartle (Fortney); his wife Delores; his stepdaughter Mary Jean Stevenson; and his siblings, Arthur J. Bartle of Noblesville and Margaret Herko (Bartle) of Harmony, Pennsylvania..

Due to the pandemic Mr. Bartle's ashes were laid to rest next to those of his wife, Delores at Slippery Rock Cemetery.
