He was predeceased by: his parents, William J. Schlieper and Marie Schlieper (Yardis); his son William D. Schlieper, Jr.; and his siblings, Steve, Rich Schlieper and Sue Sykes.

He is survived by: his wife Debra A. Schlieper (Chupa); his daughter April Lezanic (Brian); his grandchildren, Ellie, Maddie and Sadie; and his brother Paul Schlieper (Chris). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that contributions be made in his name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital- 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
