He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence O. Colao and Rose Colao (DiTommaso); his sister Mary Jo Recce; and his siblings-in-law, Ingrid Colao, Susan Cantelmi, Ralph and Anthony Cantelmi.
He is survived by: his wife Anna Marie Colao (Cantelmi); his children, Christine, Christopher "Goo" Swick, Antoinette "Toni", Gregory Krut, Victoria and Mark Salansky; his granddaughters, Alicia Swick and Bethany Krut; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Savannah, Justin Jr., Temperance and Allison; his brother Nick (Rosetta Colao); and his siblings-in-law, James "Jocko" Recce and Frances Cantelmi. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
