Nancy B. Ellinwood Obituary

Nancy B. Ellinwood, 91, of Beaver Falls, died Wednesday, February 2, 2022 in Good Samaritan Hospice, Heritage Valley Beaver.

Born on April 13, 1930, in New Brighton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Lawson) Blount. Nancy was a graduate of Beaver Falls High School and the California State University and went on to be a teacher for 28 years for the Niles City School District in Ohio. She was also a member of the former College Hill United Methodist Church, the Beaver Falls Elks Auxiliary, and O.E.S. No. 124 Wenonah Chapter.

In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, Richard "Dick" W. Ellinwood, who died in 2001, and a daughter, Susan Mamone in 2020.

She is survived by her daughters, Lisa (Matt) Hornyack, of Rochester, Rikki Karczewski, of New Brighton, and Terri Ellinwood, of Beaver Falls; son, Mark Ellinwood, of Beaver Falls; nine grandchildren, Michael Karczewski, Michael (Carly) Mamone, Matthew Karczewski, Kristina (Adam) Crepp, Alena (Justin Pratt) Mamone, Jessica (Nick DeChicko) McCutcheon, Kourtney (Matt Abel) McCutcheon, Lauren (Wes) Libert, and Ben Swearingen; nine great-grandchildren, Haleigh, Zachary, Savanna, Austin, Luca, Garrett, Wyatt, Lena and Skylar, and her brother, Thomas Blount, High Point, NC.

As per her request, all services were private.

Interment took place in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
