He was predeceased by: his parents, John P. Sr. Fabyanic and Mary Fabyanic (Cencic); his parents-in-law, Ruth Weaver and Ralph Weaver; his sister Mary Barr; his brothers-in-law, Richard Lamey and Walter Barr; and his great-niece Jennifer Lamey.
He is survived by: his wife Helen L. Fabyanic (Weaver); his daughter Deena; his son-in-law Jeff Merriman; his sister Barbara "Micy" Adkins; his sister-in-law Nancy Lamey; his nephews, Jim Lamey, Rick Lamey and Michael Barr (Sarah); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jimmy Lamey (Samantha Fabyanic), Atticus Barr, Bob Lamey, Jeremy Keyes, Milena Barr (Will) and Brittany Lamey; his pet Peanut; and also, Jayden Keyes, Finley Lamey, Duane, Colleen Pringle, Hannah and Dustin (Maggy).
