She was predeceased by: her parents, Errol Rhodes and Lila Rhodes (Dunlap); her husband Ellis "Brian" Alderette; her granddaughter Terri Jeane Alderette; her stepmother Stella Rhodes; her sister Larelda Carter; and her siblings-in-law, James Alderette, Barry Alderette, Emmett Poindexter II and Beverly Poindexter.

She is survived by: her children, James Arthur Alderette, Jeffrey Lynn Alderette of Arlington, VA, Jody Lee Alderette, Patterson Twp, Susan Jane Geary (Alderette) of Raleigh, NC and Brian Scott Alderette (Kiera); her grandchildren, Steven Cermak (Emily) of Freedom, Calet Masula of Freedom, Michelle Morrison (Eric) of Freedom, Bethel Park of Freedom, Alahna Alderette of Freedom, Blake Cordes of Freedom, Arianna Alderette and Dr. Ashley Alderette; her great grandchildren, Evie, Bennie, Amelia, Hayden, Kol, Asa and Alice Rose; and her nieces and nephews, Marty Carter of Austin, TX, Emmett W. Poindexter III of Austin, TX, Tom Poindexter of Austin, TX, Todd Poindexter, West, Stacy Poindexter of Houston, TX and Chandra Alderette of Woodlands, TX..
