She was predeceased by: her parents, Atrie Mae Smith and Keystone Temple; her husband Edwin R. Barrett; and her siblings, Robert "Hawk" Smith and Lillie Beatrice "Bea" Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Anthony Barrett of Sewickley, Eddie Barrett (Connie) of Aliquippa, Annette Barrett of Jacksonville, Irene McNaughton of Miami, Catherine Barrett of Waldorf and Loretta McCray (Alvin) of Las Vegas; and her cousin Charles Brodus of Pocono Mtns. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
