He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Damazo and Leonila Damazo (Dimacali); his wife Natividad Damazo (Simsuangco); and his siblings, Percy Damazo and Elena Iturralde.

He is survived by: his children, Dennis Damazo (Kathy), Darla Moore (Michael), Dana Cummings (Chris) and Dale Damazo (Nicole); his grandchildren, DJ (Kristland), Tyler (Megan), Noah (Emily), Aaron, Eva, Olivia, Carly, Gianna, Ian, Kayla (Eric), Alexa, Conner, Zachary, Landon and Emma; and his great grandchildren, Malachi, Simeon, Josiah and Sutton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Doc's honor may be made to the Chippewa Township Volunteer Fire Department, or St. Monica Church of St. Augustine Parish.
