He was predeceased by: his father Dean Cornelius; his son Joshua Cornelius; and his siblings, Dean Cornelius Jr., Wetzel "Butch" Murphy and Lenora Murphy.

He is survived by: his mother Mary Murphy (McWithey) of Clearwater, FL; his wife Kathleen Cornelius; his children, Megan of Beaver Falls, Melissa Cornelius of Beaver Falls, Matthew Cornelius (Stephanie) of Elrama, PA and Alfred Cornelius Jr.; his grandchildren, Adriana, Malena and Kamara; and his siblings, Aaron, Bill Cornelius, Laverne Murphy and Lisa Cornelius.
