He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Cherry and Mary Cherry (Sharkazy); his former wife Sandra Cherry (Hildebrand); his son Richard Cherry; and his sister Frances Lacko.

He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Csencsits-Cebrosky (Glenn Cebrosky) of Moore Township, PA and Michele; his spouse Duane Frable of Palmerton, PA; his siblings, Ann Marie Anthony of Emmaus and James Cherry (Renda) of Mesa, AZ; and his grandchildren, Trista, Amber, Samantha, Bryan, Robert, Heather and Ryan. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
