He is survived by: his wife Marie Ort Gardner; his children, Robert Gardner (Melissa), Angelia Spencer, Christina Saxon (Jason), Bobbijo Gardner, Cassandra Sassano (Giovanni) and Celina McKenzie (Robert); and his sisters, Ruby Gardner and Rose Gardner.
