He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Russell, Sr. and Roxanna Reed (Phillips); and his brothers, Ed MacGill, Joseph Russell Jr. and George MacGill.
He is survived by: his wife Jean F. Russell (Lupfer); his children, Charles R. Russell of Bastress Township and Michelle L. Schneider (Dave Palmatier) of Limestone Township; his granddaughters, Adrianna Harvey and Kendra Lorson (Aaron) of South Williamsport; and his sisters, Donna Woodall (Roy) of Sebastian, FL, Lenora Goodwin (Tom) of Melbourne, FL., Joann Tereszcuk of Chesapeake City, MD and Sophie.
