He is survived by: his brother Daniel N. McCarty; his grandchildren, Ethan, Taylor (Nick), Katharine, Sara (Carsten), Brendan, Evan, Kieran, Colin and Amelia; his great grandchildren, Alice, Noah, Lili, Riley, Jolene and Asher; his caregiver Catherine Reitnauer; and also Lisa Vazquez.
