She was predeceased by: her parents, Wallace Parsons and Josephine Parsons (Flemming); her siblings, Lindy, Jack, Wallace, Mike, Howie Parsons and Madonna Leger; and her siblings-in-law, Jack Leger and Minnie Parsons.
She is survived by: her husband Howard M. Merritt; her children, Howard Merritt (Celeste), Mike Merritt (Jennifer), Gene Merritt (Marianne) and Kendy Vernitsky (Jeff); her grandchildren, Rebecca Hudy (Zach), Summer Vernitsky, Michael, Brendan, Matthew, Deanna and Haylie Merritt; her great grandchildren, Oliver, Orion and Parker Hudy; her sister Shirley Parsons; and her sisters-in-law, Violet King, Dola Parsons, Cecilia Parsons and Elizabeth Barker.
