It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas E. Ackerman of Bangor, Pennsylvania, born in Ackermanville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 16, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos E. Ackerman, Sr. and Ethel Ackerman (Fisher); his son Wayne Ackerman; his siblings, Margaret Gum and Amos Ackerman, Jr.; his granddaughter Kelly Heckman; and his sons-in-law, Kevin Knitter and Don Steinmetz.
He is survived by: his wife Jean P. Ackerman (Butz); his children, Barbara Steinmetz, Kathleen Knitter, Michelle Peterson (Steven) and Craig Ackerman (Tammy); his daughter-in-law Diane Patterson; his sisters, Catherine Miller and Bernice Ponnett; his grandchildren, Keith, Mark Steinmetz (Stacey Montgomery), Kristie Bauder, Bradley, Emily Peterson, Jessica and Meagan Ackerman; and his great grandchildren, Kaylie, Brooklynn, Ella Bauder, Morgan and Calieb Heckman.
