Derea of Bangor, Pennsylvania, born in Washington, Pennsylvania, who passed away at the age of 92, on September 30, 2021. He was predeceased by: his wife Judith C. DeRea (Sabetti); his parents, Nicholas DeRea and Mary DeRea (Basso); his stepmother Marion DeRea (Ruggiero); and his brother Domenick A. DeRea.

He is survived by: his daughters, Mary L. Decker (Brad J.) of Atlantic Beach, FL and Kathleen A. Buchanan (Aaron J.) of Pen Argyl; and his siblings, Mary Lou Lohman of Plainfield Township, Carol Casagrande of Roseto, Fred of Pen Argyl, Nicholas of Leesburg, FL, Richard of Brodheadsville, Michael of Plainfield Township and Anthony of Bangor. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered in Philip's name to either, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 560 N. 6th Street, Bangor, PA 18013 or Walden III, 325 N. Broadway, Wind Gap, PA 18091.
