He was predeceased by: his brother Russell Slegel, III. He is survived by: his daughter Nicole R. Slegel; his son-in-law William Wilson; his son Jay G. Slegel, Jr.; his daughter-in-law Peggy Strunk; and his grandchildren, Tylor Duffin, Anne, Donna McNair, Bryce and Logan Slegel.
