He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Smith and Nancy Averil Smith; and his siblings, Nancy, Ricky, Ronnie and Steven.
He is survived by: his wife Carole Smith (Hess); his children, Kevin Smith (Ileana) and Dawn Simons (Lance Simons); and his siblings, Tim Smith and Cathy Banks. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren.
