He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Melcher and Kathryn Melcher (Miller); his son Paul Melcher; and his brothers, Edwin, Martin "Pep" and Jerry Melcher.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel Melcher and Rosanne Kulp (Dennis); his grandchildren, Kelly, Justin, Nathan, Tiffanie, William, Coleen and Brett; his sisters, Eleanor Girodo, Mary Anne Blankenbiller, Polly Richard and Millie Eddinger; and his sister-in-law Mary Anne Sobjak.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joseph's memory to Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 610 Pine St., Bally, PA 19503.
