He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Smith and Edna Smith (Moyer); his son Jan Smith; and his brothers, Frederick Smith and Gene Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Smith (Long) of Bally; his children, Mark D. Smith (Pamela) and Beth Ann Engle (Thomas); his stepdaughters, Kim Helmle, Karen Helmle and Kathy Powers; his brother William C. Smith, Sr. (Elaine); and his pet Lily. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren.
