She was predeceased by: her husband Eugene Chovanes; her parents, George Puhak and Magda Puhak (Szabo); and her siblings, George and Theresa Puhak.
She is survived by: her children, Dr. Michael Chovanes (Mary) of Alburtis, Dr. George Chovanes (Margaret) of Alburtis, Julie Chovanes and Philadelphia; her daughter-in-law Dr. Jacqueline Chovanes of Carlisle; her brother Monsignor Nicholas Puhak of Cunningham, PA; her grandchildren, Christina, Michael, Catherine, Kathryn Lily, Anna, Alexander, Caroline, Jack, Sophia, Olivia, Anastasia, Henry and Claire; and her great grandchildren, Magdalene, Gabriel, Lucy, Levi, Gavaghan, Sylvie, Mercy Rose and Elizabeth. She is also survived by five children.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to St. Matthias Church, Bala Cynwyd, Pa.
