He was predeceased by: his father John Dougherty; and his wife Patricia Dougherty (Leyde). He is survived by: his children, Pete Dougherty (Jennifer) of Covington, Kevin Dougherty (Megan) of Baden and Katy Ake (Lawrence) of Baden; his grandchildren, Logan, Maddy Oberlin, John, Sarah and Hailey Ake; and his sisters, Jean Marie Aufman (Karl) of Pittsburgh and Connie Devine of Skokie. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
