He was predeceased by: his parents, Audley and Donna (Cricks). He is survived by: his wife Ada May; his daughters, Penny Carlson of Apollo, Patricia, Big Run, Kathrine (Martin), Rager of New Florence, Barbara Crissman (David) of Shelocta and Brenda McAfoose (Paul) of Avonmore; and his sisters, Denise Beatty (William) of Vandergrift and Jeanne Allen (Charles) of Elderton. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
