Edward Eugene Shaffer Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edward Eugene Shaffer of Avonmore, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 25, 2025 at the age of 85. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey L. Sr. Shaffer and Esther M. Alsippi Shaffer; his wife Loretta "Bonnie" Prenni Shaffer; his children, Edward E. Shaffer Jr., Valerie M. Leda, Shawn B. Shaffer and Brett M. Shaffer; and his siblings, Harvey L. Shaffer Jr., Robert Shaffer, Ronald, Donald Shaffer, Mary Hinzy, Virginia "Ginny" Ward, Gloria Rokicsak and Dorothy Fontana.

He is survived by: his sons, Eric V. Shaffer (Nadine) of Avonmore and Lance A. Shaffer (Bernadette) of Apollo. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Corridoni Funeral Services Inc. (400 Indiana Ave, Avonmore, PA 15618). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Ambrose Roman Catholic Church (505 Cambria Ave, Avonmore, PA 15618).
