He was predeceased by: his parents, John D. Carnahan and Mary F. Deemer Carnahan; his son Edward Carnahan; and his grandsons, Justin Urban and Joshua Weinfurther.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Fabec of Bell Twp; his children, Deana Weinfurther (John) of Natrona Heights, Sandra Ammon (Frank) of Saltsburg, Sally Carnahan Wagner of Harbinger, NC and James D. Carnahan (Debi) of Avonmore; his grandchildren, Cory Weinfurther (Alyssa) of Murrysville, Kayla Weinfurther (Eric) of Wilmington, NC, Shawn Ruzzi (Tammy) of Coos Bay, Aric Wagner (Britney) of Grandy, NC, Kimber Wood (Ryan) of Jefferson Hills, Benjamin Carnahan (Kassie) of New Kensington and Megan Young (Trevor) of Greensburg; and his sister Beverly Saunders of Houston. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
