He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Johnston and Katherine Johnston; and his wife Linda Lee Johnston. He is survived by: his children, David Kent Johnston of Avonmore and Lynette Michele Johnston of Jeannette; and his grandchildren, Brandon Clay Esquino, Garrett David Johnston and Lacey Noele Esquino.
