He is survived by: his wife Elia Avila; and his children, Luis Fernando Avila-Lopez, Juan Pedro Avila-Lopez, Yuliana Avila-Lopez, Teofanes Avila-Lopez, Nicolas Alejandro Avila-Lopez, David Avila-Lopez and Mishael Avila-Lopez. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren.
