Gretchen D. Scruppi Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gretchen D. Scruppi of Avella, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 13, 2025 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Gretchen farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Gretchen is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh O'Donnell and Esther O'Donnell; and her husband David G. Scruppi. She is survived by: her daughter Erin Scruppi; her pets, Sparky and Trixie; her close friend Diane Adamson of Avella; and her sister-in-law Linda Sziminski of Burgettstown. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jerome A. Stefkovich Funeral Home, Inc. (18 Campbell St, Avella, PA 15312). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Michael Roman Catholic Church (97 Highland Ave, Avella, PA 15312).
