We are sad to announce that on September 3, 2022, at the age of 96, Dorothy Lucas Liggett (Avella, Pennsylvania) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hazlett McIlvaine Lucas and Lillie Arnold Lucas; and her husband Robert Griffith Liggett Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Vicki Lombardo (Ralph) of Costa Mesa, CA, Peggy Morton Brown (Lance) of Tonawanda, NY, Penny Merkel (John) of Wellsburg, WV, Cindy Crowley (Robert) of Medina, OH, John Liggett (Carmen) of Avella and Diane Lynn Liggett; her granddaughters, Stephanie and Alissa Morton; and her brothers, James, Martin and Glenn Lucas. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren;25 great grandchildren; 15 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society.
