With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Arthur R. Moate of Austin, Pennsylvania, born in Driftwood, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 6, 2023 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur M. Moate and Edna Smith Moate; his wife Sarah Moate; his brother-in-law Lawrence Friday; and his sister Madeline C. Friday.
He is survived by: his former wife Sarah J. "Sally" Lentz; his children, Carrie Burgett (Dave) of Emporium, Bryan Moate (Amanda) of Gardeau, Angela Zawatski (Bob) of Austin and Justin Moate (Erica) of Austin; his grandchildren, Sarah (Vince), Charlotte (Dakota), Chloe, Miles, Elizabeth, McKenzey Jo, Carrie and Ava; his great grandchild Harlow; and his siblings, Judy Yonkin (late Theron "Buddy"), Mary Miller (Ray), Clyde Moate (Debbie) and Paul Moate. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
