She was predeceased by: her parents, James T. Lavan and Marie E. Lavan (Mellon); her husband Joseph I. Harkins, Sr.; her sons, Thomas G. Harkins, Patrick T. Harkins and John E. Harkins, Sr.; and her siblings, James T. Lavan, Marie Waters and Sarah "Sally" Hickey.

She is survived by: her children, Malcolm Harkins, III (Maura J. McDonnell) of Arnold, MD, Joseph I. "Joby" Harkins, Jr. (Cornota) of Drexel Hill and Marybeth E. Daniels (Scott) of Cambridge, MD; her daughter-in-law Michelina Harkins of Port Charlotte, FL; and her brothers, Thomas J. Lavan of Drexel Hill and Edmund C. Lavan of Lansdale. She is also survived by 14 Grandchildren and 20 Great Grandchildren.
