He was predeceased by: his parents, George Heegard and Margaret Heegard. He is survived by: his wife Mary Elizabeth "Betsy" Heegard; his stepchildren, Frederick "Fred" Stelwagon (Linda) and Marjorie "Margie" Stelwagon (Shawn Matthews); his grandchildren, Jacob Stelwagon and Lauren Stelwagon; and his sisters, Joan Bechtel of Newville, PA and Nancy Jones of Kansas City, MO..
