He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Hawley, and Rose Hawley, Sr.; his daughter Colleen Hawley Kiker; and his siblings, Rosemary Snelling, Horace "Buddy" Hawley, Jr., Josephine Herrmann, Mary Shockley and Ruth McCormick.

He is survived by: his daughter Cheryl Hawley Hill (John); and his grandson Logan Hawley Hill. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
