She was predeceased by: her parents, Archibald Smith and Nelley Smith; her granddaughter Rachel Manning; her great grandchild Clay Manning; and her siblings, Don Smith, Faith Wolgemuth, Dorothy Elski and Alberta LaBarr.
She is survived by: her spouse Russell G. "Junior" Newhart Jr.; her children, Rusty (Jenny Newhart), Joseph Newhart, Michael (Missy Newhart), Marcy (Jeff Thompson) and Penny (Mike Allison); and her sister Dolly Horner (Dan) of California. She is also survived by mother, to her husband and their 5 children, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
