He was predeceased by: his parents, Laura Baver (Mengel) and Grant Baver; and his wife Bertha Baver (Stusalitus). He is survived by: his sons, Alan Baver of Auburn and Gary Baver, Jr. of Auburn; and his sisters, Ilene Huntzinger of Schuylkill Haven and Marilyn Kerschner of Orwigsburg.
