It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lavern Byler of Atlantic, Pennsylvania, born in Hartville, Ohio, who passed away on January 16, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Byler and Mary Byler (Yoder); and his brothers, Vernon Byler and Rudy Byler. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia L. Weaver; his children, Carolyn Wagler (Menno) of Rome, PA, Wayne Byler (Trenni), Jonathan "Jon" Byler, Laura Yoder (Raymond), Benjamin, Mary Hochstetler (Jacob) and Ruby Wengerd (Wes); and his sisters, Catherine Borkholder of Middlebury, IN, Susie Yoder of Alliance, OH and Esther Besse of Massilon, OH. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
