He was predeceased by: his parents, Ora Whipple and Hilda Whipple; his siblings, David Whipple and Esther; and his siblings-in-law, Mark Frisbie, Dory Whipple, Robert Roof, Thomas Daugherty, Sr. and Richard.
He is survived by: his wife Marlena Louise Daugherty; his stepchildren, Shari Whipple and Carlena Whipple; his son Richard, Jr.; his daughter-in-law Lucille Whipple; his grandchildren, Heather Westbook, Cassandra Whipple, Candice Bowman, Brian Westbrook, Cayli Casselbury, Cameron Henry, Chad Westbrook, Nicholas Whipple and Joseph Whipple; his siblings, Ora Whipple, Jr. and JoAnn; his brother-in-law Fred Bohlayer; his sister Mary Jane Roof; and his sisters-in-law, Cathy Whipple and Marilyn Daugherty. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. (225 S Main St, Athens, PA 18810). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Lowery-Urban Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. (225 S Main St, Athens, PA 18810).
