He was predeceased by: his parents, Verne B. Griffis Sr. and Marjorie L. VanNest Griffis; his wife Faye McPherson Griffis; and his brother Verne B. Griffis Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Kathy G. Watkins (Dale) of Troy, PA, Mark C. Griffis (Sheri) of Mansfield, PA and William A. Griffis (Tammy) of Westlawn, PA; his granddaughters, Julia and Melinda Griffis; his sister Deanna; and his brother-in-law Robert Thurston of Milan. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews cousins and many good friends.
