She was predeceased by: her spouse Durphy E. Shumate; her parents, John W. Hogg and Sue Stirling Hogg; and her sister Betty Sue Payne. She is survived by: her children, Nancy (Frank Smolar) of Manheim and John (Lorraine Woller Shumate) of Concord, NC; her grandchildren, Lauren (Jake Peterson) of Sinking Spring, PA, Ross and Michael Shumate of Concord, NC; and her great grandchildren, Cole, Cecily and Clay Peterson.
