He was predeceased by: his parents, Erwin Groer and Margaret Fethkey Groer. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Lykens Groer; his brother Alfred Groer, Sr.; and his nephews, Alfred Groer, Jr. (Audrey), Thomas Groer (Jennifer) and Robert Groer (Jennifer).
