He was predeceased by: his mothers, Elizabeth Reagan (Sweeney) and Margaret Reagan (Cervino); his son Joseph P. Reagan, Jr.; and his siblings, William, Richard, Robert and Elizabeth Reagan.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Knutson-Reagan (Sardou); his children, Peg Smith (Ken), Trish Atkins (Michael) and Michael Reagan; his stepson Paul Knutson; his grandsons, Kenny Smith (Trish Hoffman), Danny Smith, Joey Smith (Jen), Michael Atkins, Macallister and Malachi Reagan; his stepgranddaughter Paula Knutson; his great grandchildren, Jacob, Nolan Smith, Shane Hoffman, Joseph and Cole Smith; and his stepgreat-grandson Lucas Knutson.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joe's name to a charity of the donor's choice.
