She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy Johnston and Charles Johnston; her husband Joe; and her brothers, Chuck and Chandler Johnston (Channy).
She is survived by: her children, Eric C. Schmitt (April) of Sewickley, Craig J. Schmitt (Jocelyn Shoup) of Philadelphia, Dr. Susan C. Schmitt (Israel Sostrin) of Portland, OR and David W. Schmitt (Shelly) of Denver, CO; and her grandchildren, Sophie, Bowen, Logan, Colby, Wyatt, Reese and Aubrey.
