She was predeceased by: her parents, John Elmo and Edith Freeburn Mattern; her husband William James Happel; and her sister Constance Mattern North. She is survived by: her children, Lindsay (Art), Megan (Eric), Bill (Cathy) and Sam (Barb); and her sister Marilyn Mills. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren.
