She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Mertz and Mary Mertz (Miller); and her sister Virginia Mertz. She is survived by: her siblings, Katherine Rafferty, Marion and Joseph S. Mertz; and her nieces and nephews, Virginia Mertz (Richard), Joseph Mertz, Jr. (Rebecca), David Mertz (Jacqueline), Mary Alice Wagner (Rick) and Karen Barbi (Charles).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor.
