He is survived by: his wife Sue; his sons, Robert and Benjamin Wilhoit; his siblings, Christine Henney (Ray), William Wilhoit (Lina), Brian Wilhoit (Vickie) and Kevin Wilhoit (Brooke); and his father-in-law Thomas Jolly. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dan's memory to HARP (Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh).
