She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Richard Powanda; her sons, John "Jackie" Novak of Blawnox and David J. Novak (Cathy) of Cheswick; her grandchildren, Kyle and Travis Novak; her sisters, Nancy Pribich of Highland Park and Kathy Lessig of Tarentum; her nieces, Nancy "Nanners" Dott and Melissa Hoey (Lonnie); and her nephew David Pribich.
